Best in Show 2025

Best in Show 2025 was the third iteration of Best in Show, presented by Julia Holden at ArtHaus Contemporary in Ōrākei, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. The exhibition featured commissioned portraits of companion animals, with 15% of all commissions and sales donated to Pet Refuge, supporting its vital work providing temporary shelter for pets while their families escape domestic violence.

The exhibition also featured a collaboration with Waiheke ceramicist Lauren Young, who created a collection of handmade dog and cat bowls, alongside Pet Refuge-branded notebooks designed in collaboration with Matt Mitchell of Design Ally.

The exhibition raised $1,900 for Pet Refuge.
